Attorney Biography:
Michelle A. Shaw serves as Counsel to the law firm of Golub & Isabel, P.C. where she represents clients in a variety of complex environmental matters and litigation before state and federal courts. Ms Shaw further counsels clients on matters involving complex contract negotiation and drafting, due diligence compliance, and commercial real estate.
Ms. Shaw has also earned distinction as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). LEED APs have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Green Building Rating System.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Shaw served as law clerk to Associate Justice Gary S. Stein, (Retired) Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Representative Matters:
- Represented current owner and operator in Spill Compensation, ISRA, and common law litigation against prior owner and operator for costs to investigate and clean up historical chemical spills.
- Counseled clients in ongoing investigation and remediation before New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
- Represent clients in copyright infringement litigation in the United States District Court (NJ).
- Represent party to a stock purchase agreement in complex dispute over scope of indemnity obligations for environmental liabilities.
- Represented large commercial bank, mortgage lenders, and development companies in various real estate transactions.
- Assist company in efforts to obtain registration of new pesticides at state and federal level.
