Michelle A. Shaw is an associate of the law firm of Golub & Isabel, P.C. Ms. Shaw represents clients in a variety of complex environmental matters before state and federal courts. Ms. Shaw further counsels clients on environmental compliance, due diligence, and transactional issues, and has substantial experience in commercial real estate matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Shaw served as law clerk to Associate Justice Gary S. Stein, Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Representative Matters:
- Represented property owner in CERCLA litigation filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey by neighboring property owner seeking to compel it to investigate and remediate allegedly migrating contamination related to historical operations.
- Represented current owner and operator in Spill Compensation, ISRA, and common law litigation against prior owner and operator for costs to investigate and clean up historical chemical spills.
- Counseled private clients in ongoing investigation and remediation before New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
- Represented former property owner against current property owner seeking costs for cleanup related to alleged gasoline operations.
- Represented rail operator against former property owner seeking to compel it to satisfy demand for natural resource damages.
